Bobby Earth's "Progression" found the now LA-based artist daydreaming about love and what was beyond the sky after you've pushed past your initial limits. The music and the melodies were R&B packaged with an alternative flare. Then, the Houston native found out what lay beyond to land on his own sexy planet with "Cloudy McSunshine," a more dense dive into R&B mood music for lovers across a shared galaxy. And now, with the release of his "Progression" follow-up entitled "Progression 2," Earth has returned to the planet that bore his name with kaleidoscope lenses to bend the sounds we're already use to.

In step with his long-time partner and collaborator Marz Guidry, Bobby shows what can be done with a little experimentation. Bringing indie electronic, acid jazz and dancehall to the already forged lane of alternative R&B, "Progression 2" gives way for new, deliciously melting melodies and remarkable songs completely expressing from a loved one's feelings. The song that comes to mind is the incandescent "Ultraviolet" (prod. by Evan Wills). I dare anyone to listen to that song and not love a melody, run or harmony. It's impossible to not rock with the frenetic rhythm, too. And the scatting harmonies are a chef's kiss.

Other collaborators share the space of the songs as well, from features to production -- Eros, Topaz Faerie, Jasmine Canales and Brian Hargrove, to name a few. Every contributor on the EP gives the music a personality trait and ability to spice up this big blue marble we call home and make available the changing patterns that come once you try something new.
