Kid Cudi Drops Honest & Important Track "Judgmental Cunt"

The second track Kid Cudi blessed us with today is "Judgmental Cunt". Just like "Wedding Tux" it's a punk rock track, but this one is more angry and sounds like it was cut from a garage band. "JC" is again pure live instrumentation, so the connection to the music is more real and blatant in subject matter. Its focus is on speaking to the audience of the ridiculed, judged and unaccepted and portrays them accurately voicing their emotions to the ones judging them. The song functions as a positive nod toward the kids experiencing this and who don't know what to do about it.

I personally love this track. Punk Rock definitely isn't my go to genre, but knowing Cudder's role in hip-hop makes it easier for me to connect with the music, having already established a familiarity with his message. I love that he's bridging all these genres and not being confined in one box. Kid Cudi is making things clear that he (along with the Tyler, The Creator's and Childish Gambino's) can not only make dope hip-hop records but rock, Neo-Soul, R&B, fusion and whatever else he wants to do. This is a throwback to how the house that is hip-hop was built by featuring a blend of different genres to create a new one, so there's nothing wrong with Kid Cudi embodying that same principal here.

"Judgmental Cunt" is a good, important song that gets me even more amped up for "Speedin' Bullet To Heaven". I know it'll be a good album just based off of "JC" and "Wedding Tux". So now, all there is to do is wait.

Check out the song below.
