Still studying from the school of The Neptunes and the Internet, but, like, seemingly Zack Fox and Lil B's section of the Internet, artist and producer Chase of Nazareth's 10-song project "Pretty Boy Virus" is like listening to the "Intro" on "The Neptunes presents ... Clones" on loop. But each time the song restarts it grows more distorted and anyone who isn't you that hears it throws up. And I mean that in the most flattering way possible.

Tracks like "Toot That Ass Up" is practically homework handed in when the assignment was make a Britney Spears' "I'm A Slave 4 U" type beat. "Nose Bleed" is more original and deranged in sound, as well as filthy in thought. Nazareth's overall production is electronic and highly temperamental. A lot of the spacey sounds within his chords and drums come off as tinkering and land the accompaniment of his vocals in a high energy place.

Truly the only way to know what this project sounds like you have to, well, listen to it. Experience it for yourself. Even given all its evident influences, Chase of Nazareth's "Pretty Boy Virus" is individualistic, to say the least. And that is a little sumthin' sumthin' worth checking out.
