Victor Internet I KNO V3

The direction an artist moves in after a debut project no longer has to be lateral or linear. You can jump, you can zag when you should have zigged, or in Victor Internet's case, you run, tumble and then leap.

Victor Internet's newest release after "Victor's Debut" (not counting the reissue of "Boy") entitled "I KNO V3" sounds mildly like a medley of finding maturation.

Written and produced by the Terrible Records artist, a brassy chord progression and riff serve one of the song's many polished melodies. Internet hangs his roving melody during the chorus on the part of the brain that says "I need to hear this again." The self-questioning in the songwriting let the lyrics follow wherever the production takes things emotionally. His transitions signaled by busy synthesizer lines introduce a new section of the song plush with felt runs, rapping and woodpecking 808s that end up sounding like an extended bridge within a bridge before the chorus comes back, though now with the accompaniment of a tweaking synthesizer breakdown and eventual instrumental break as the outro.

"I KNO V3" is adventurous in nature and loving in its approach. If "Victor's Debut" was who Internet was before music and popularity, this is what the beginning of what he will be sounds like with fame in tow.
