The new John Singletary track feels like he was saving the last dance for us as our usual tomboy look fades to reveal the loudly beautiful 80's rose we really are.

John's 80's synth party entitled All For Nothing takes the best parts along with the bitter parts of deeply loving someone. His lambent synth chords leave a sour taste through their progression. AFN's minimal drums want to be alone just as much as they want companionship and the layering of curious keys with an alarm sound blaring the questions to figure out what makes the music sound pressingly concerning and good. Singletary's sparing vocals are reminiscent of Andrew VanWyngarden (of MGMT) when in his vocal bag of whispers and escapism.

I go where All For Nothing takes me. And that last dance is starting to feel pretty damn special by then.
