Independent artist Chika is putting a dope spin on all this bedroom heat coming out of other people's, well, bedrooms.

Chika's popular-by-demand song, Want Me (Daydreaming), runs at one speed lyrically and doesn't stop. The 20-year-old rapper spits on Want Me like she has her crush hemmed up on a wall, spitting game literally in the form of raps. Her candid punchlines like "keep it short just like a Haiku" and Cupid's arrow touched wordplay such as the Wale, lotus line really reads across how invested in this connection she is, and is plainly a line out to impress. Philip Schlosser's production softens the approach, leaving no pressure and nothing but promised rainbows in this daydream.

Schlosser's bedroom pop chords, flat drums and loose percussion keeps the atmosphere of Want Me (Daydreaming) simple and game-like, with an added implication that you can start over at anytime if you feel like pursuing these feelings.

Want Me is a ditty with a sentiment we can all champion. So what are you waiting for? It's time to get daydreaming.
