Sad boy hours commonly suffocate one's 24 hours in the day. Uncommonly, you may never see the end of your emotional funk, but Calvin Holmes is submerged in the thick of sad boy contemplation and he pulls out his messaging thoughts over self.

Holmes's EVERYTHING feels like a continued emotional arch tangible through his music. Courtesy of shared production duties with Victor, EVERYTHING melts a buttery guitar riff over the track, weighing the scales of sad and hopeful. Those chords set the tone for craggy drums amplifying quite literally an emotionally rocky state. Calvin's melancholy vocals stand from a place of being romantically beaten by the better man.

The Boyfriend / WasteMyTime artist's singing in his pre-chorus and chorus sound breathless in the delivery which brings out these emotions and actions of being desperate, willing, apologetic, possessive and possibly too distant. Once the verse hits, Calvin's irked cadence and melodic-driven change up in his flow communicates how he really feels. The actuality of where the relationship is, or lack there of, shines through.

EVERYTHING runs like a roller coaster that makes you feel better once you come out on the other side. When Calvin Holmes connects with Victor the music is optimal. So I know y'all will find everything you're looking for.
