Your Cousin, Alex Palms His World in "The World"

Your Cousin, Alex comes through his latest song/video entitled The World looking like a rap Morpheus who fancies expensive things, but who can still drop verbal dimes.

Alex's Pablo Vasquez-directed video blatantly shows that hard work can put what you deem the world to be into your hands. Whether it's shots of expensive watches, luxury sports cars, an actual globe or Alex physically and metaphorically eating, these shots pull the same weight. And Alex's raps reach into a mathematically cerebral place. His Deadpool punchline about the fourth wall tells how in charge of this movie we call life he is. His line "I can't fathom how they tryna' decipher a flat tangent, cause it can't happen" is a line adding to his mystique in the video.

The Homie's shadowy production plays to that same effect. Sinking keys, a plump bass and splinter 808s has a dark confidence in its sound. The World's visuals and music fit well, here. The FIX ME A PLATE artist is again being a good ass rapper. And I'm glad we can see it in this instance.
