Akhil Sesh and Tai-Cheeba's hard cut SWERVIN (prod. by Falco) is a hype shot. This song is a jolt to an awakened state right when Falco's synth burrows up from the ground.
SWERVIN hits like a high-speed drive in a dream induced by smoking too much. Akhil Sesh's groggy melodic hook is catchy, but in my opinion sounds as if it's a day going by so fast he can't manage to comprehend it. Akhil's actual lyrics in his verse and hook run through a high day that ultimately leads back to his supplier. The sound is easy to get lost in, resembling the span of the day. A truly chill atmosphere built by Sesh from the jump.
Tai-Cheeba's more raunchy verse sounds sober with a more driven direction. Cheeba's raps get so braggadocios I started to gain a big head and feel unmatched in my field just as he inflected into the music. Feelings of boastfulness linked to SWERVIN's beat of faint 80's-like breath swipes, sharp snapping drums, snickering 808s and a replicated "bass in speaker" beat bouncing around is an inflated sound. Akhil Sesh's SWERVIN is a cool head nod track. I like it for that reason. And it fits pretty well as our daily banger.
