A vibe was easily caught today, and bad moods went on temporary vacation. All thanks to Mark Asari's predestined for playlists joint Somebody (feat. Eugy x Victizzle).

This London Boyz-produced track is, I think, Afro-Beat at its best. A dope drummy/bassy trampoline cut, to say the least.

To kick-start Somebody, squeaking 80's gymnasium synth keys cheer until the groove from the drums rumble in. A bumbling bass bubbles beneath a beady spritz sound that is the drums. And that's all the bounce this song needs. The sound makes you want to move your body from head to toe. The addition of calmly smeared strings (or possibly chords) severely extended has a romantic sound. I got a visceral feel for what came vocally.

Somebody's chorus right out the gate has its own rhythm. The first verse is extremely descriptive and explicit of a woman's most minute movements, from her walk to her looks. How wrapped up the trio are in their individual girl makes the women exhale like an esoteric party only Asari, Victizzle or Eugy are in attendance for. By Eugy's verse, he flows a bit more, in a rap sense. Eugy brings a spittin' game level to Somebody. Lines like "She lookin' deep into my eyes" is an immediate second layer of investment from jump. Somebody not only makes me want to dance, but champion women in an awesome way. The music makes women feel like beautiful carefree beings that men are merely lucky to be able to watch as they dance and simply be, inclusive of everything under the sun.

I'm feeling this song. Victizzle, I'm already a fan of, after hearing Somebody I can say the same for Mark Asari and Eugy. I hope y'all will be, too.
