Watch: The Bizarre Visuals for High Klassified - "Gold" Feat. Mick Jenkins

High Klassified's underrated, extraterrestrial sound-mosphere EP, Kronostasis, dropped over a year ago, and I'm still seeped into the complexity of the simple fortitude of the make up of his bass. And without question, the most striking song is Gold feat. Mick Jenkins.

Kronostasis' only track in miles with lyrics and a high-profile feature, Gold was bound to be the song that attracted the most ears, enticing with bizarre visuals acting as the track's finish.

The visuals themselves run like a glitch in the system. The red light district drenched video illuminates as such in very symbolic ways. Images of sex dolls, the lighting, a person looming around in a bunny suit (in a Frank from Donnie Darko-style) can only be wrapped around on sight. Seeing High Klassified's melanin represented as gold is completely rewarding in itself. I saw it as an example of "they" lurking around trying to take our qualities, attempting to remove the essence of what makes us black. But who knows. That's how weird this video is. The only thing I think that's not up for debate is that it's good. And that's the best damn part.

Watch the Gold visuals below.
