London's Rinse FM always has some killer sets during their broadcast. Rinse showcases some very cool producers from all over, displaying a bevy of different tastes and styles of music. Producer Strict Face lived up to that wave during his Rinse set w/ Slackk. I believe by bringing an unorthodox bounce and groove to the broadcast through a combination of spooky sounds and eerie beatmatching techniques with a ton of punch, personality, and coolness behind every slick drum kit, streaky synth pattern and prickly 808 sequence leaving behind a kind of gooky trail. And this latest Rinse FM rip entitled Sky Empire from Strict Face (Stricty) and Try Try is very cool, completely uncontrollable and so far outside of what most of his set sounded like.

Sky Empire from the jump sounds like a DDR warm up song. Stricty and Try Try put this track continuously in motion. This is a song where all you can do is try to describe what you're hearing because you aren't truly sure how it was made, or who did what. All I know is every sound is blaring, cybernetic and has a bungee snap to it. It's fast, jumpy and too psychotic to break-up, but it's good. The sounds made me imagine being in a futuristic utopia of revolutionized dancing that happens at a turbo speed. Sky Empire is real cool and I give it up to Rinse FM. Few state-controlled stations, local radio or online, offer this type of diversity of sounds and creators. So I encourage my BTTE readers to peep Rinse FM whenever you get the chance, as well as divulge deeper into Strict Face and Try Try's catalog. You'll walk away more musically versed in today's musical space if you do.
