Yoshi Thompkins Supplies Another Cool Banger with "AQUATEENS"

Yoshi Thompkins always keeps us supplied with new music. Just coming off his "NO REST EP" with Ronny J and currently working on his forthcoming EP "Khemistry 51", Yosh found the time to drop off his new track entitled "AQUATEENS" (prod. by MXXXY). And no surprise, it's dope.

The very quick song gets pretty busy lyrically. Thompkins has a lot of references, analogies and a small underlying message, but the simplicity in the beat makes for an easy song to jump into. There's a fairly exciting build up to the 808 drop, there's thick punchy drums and a killer instinct driving Yoshi Thompkins' verses. He also opens the song on a calmer note by singing with a disturbed tone before jumping into his first verse that took me into the mindset he had to get him to where he is now. It's a small story of his grind which I could relate to with my own grind. His second verse is just a flex moment where he really rattles off line after line a bit more relentlessly. Yoshi Thompkins is very good at keeping his verse in line with the 808s when he's getting braggadocios, so both come off more vibrant and aggressive.

"AQUATEENS" is another cool banger from Yoshi. I'm surprised that we got the song, but I'm not surprised that I like it and it snaps. If this track is any indication of what's to come on "Khemistry 51" I'm beyond eager to hear it.
