Joey Purp has been snappin' lately. He killed his verse on Two Fresh's track "Still Got It" with Vic Mensa and now his latest song "Morgan Freeman" is straight inhumane. The three-minute track is a relentless banger. Joey spits about the realest situations and keeps it all the way trill with his unstable-sounding flow, all done to very ominous xylophone-esque chimes backing the heavy claps and deep drums in the beat. It makes "Morgan Freeman" sound more insane as it works in tandem with Purp's psychotic delivery and tone. I got a real uneasy feeling while listening to this song, but at the same time, I was uncontrollably bouncing to it. It made for a roller-coaster of reactions to this very exciting music.
"Morgan Freeman" is a very good song that knocks and highlights everything Joey Purp does well. I can't wait to hear his future solo efforts.
