whereisalex Rain On Me

Music is the ultimate savior yet again. The magician behind this new collection of evidence -- whereisalex. The song in question -- "Rain On Me."

In a shifting and rearranging of the weekdays to make them all Sunday, whereisalex's "Rain On Me" uses a gospel flip that causes the reveal of mirabilia to all those listening. Water ripple chords and a dancey instrumental breakdown fit with lustrous trumpet croons, tuning synthesizer blasts, chopping 808s, a stretching bass and other complementary percussive sounds that become a cornucopia of goodness for our delectation. The slight changes within that section of the music as the 808s drop out alter the texture of the music to feel more glassy, and in return reflective yet freeing.

Rain On Me flips gospel but whereisalex keeps the music standing firm in how gospel music is designed to make you feel. And that is one perfect storm nobody would complain about being caught in.
