WHYJAE is Acting Grim Reaper on RIP

Hitting the Internet like a bat straight out of Hell, artist WHYJAE's Yobi Yobz-produced track "RIP" plays reaper to the unfortunate souls foolish enough to be outside while his desired carriage of a Ferrari engulfed in flames succor in his harvest of lives.

A sampled call placed to 911 from "House Party" courtesy of John Witherspoon (Rest In Peace) sets in motion this alarming, looped riff of horn-accented keys playing double devil on your shoulder. Yobi Yobz's racing 808s stay ahead of WHYJAE's restless verse.

WHYJAE bludgeons you over the head with quick-witted punchlines and metaphors practically line-for-line, leaving little room for micro-nuggets of storytelling and visible rhyme patterns. His permanently flexing double time flow takes form as the Ferrari's speed to catching the lives he has been tasked to reap and keeps "RIP" exciting. The Houston-based artist is a gluttonous rapper. This is only a sampler appetizer of what he's cooked/cooking up.

Listen to "RIP" below.
