Not even a month removed from their high-steppin' single "forWHAT," collective thebaremax are hitting the scene again with the freshly squeezed album entitled "Pulp."

Crafted as a re-imagining of the "Pulp Fiction" score of sorts, the album reveals itself to be what was actually inside the briefcase. In 11 parky chord and string dominant tracks, the returning players (5dgirl, lamuse, yeahCALEB, Bert Knox and GLENWORLDTOUR) hopscotch R&B/Soul styles while threading the same theme of hoping to go from nothing to something. Tracks like the harsh "Waiter" (w/ Pat Maverick) hold flooded chords and tenacious rap verses paralleling unanswered prayers. The nearly defeated in sound "Give Me a Sign" (w/ Kevin Holliday) carries a Yellow Days drawl on the guitar riff's melody. The deeply southern bass line and 5dgirl's open vocals read out loud the faith arranged in "Pulp", a strong testament to the sounds and motif heard throughout.

Faith is what will get you through to that promise of something better. Thebaremax discover faith as the real fruit of the world. If you're searching for that taste of salvation to help you make it to another  tomorrow, "Pulp" just might be for you.
