A toney, mesoglea textured riff over a fluorescing chord progression strong-arms Carter Ace into the scope of big band energy and instrumentation just in time for showtime. And the improvisational spirits on "Twenty Third (freestyle demo)" keep this deer in the headlights from an unpleasant ending.

Complementary springing chords join in on the groove with an invite for a regal horn section. Tripping drums truly metronome the entire tempo and rhythm and somehow bounce the existing melodies and rhythms off of itself to make the production grandiose, or at least paint the music with that illusion. Carter's heavy-handed verse plows through the production in this pushy flow/melody and monologuing lyrics out to get what he wants in life, albeit partially in jest.

Carter Ace's "Twenty Third (freestyle demo)" is ready for that big moment to reach an actual big day worth waiting for. And oh, right, this is still just another demo. That should tell you all you need to know about the quality to come.
