Chicago duo Angry Blackmen are never silent for long. Brian and Quentin continuously reinvent the delivery of their message, and the message always stays militant. Their latest package entitled Bullshit! lands crossover appeal with a fist still raised.

The Wendigo-produced cut rides in the vein of the disorganized chaos on Yeezus, only AB attacks with a thought out agenda. A hagridden bassline prowls for any missteps with the authority of chapped percussion and one-off drums and sounds -- one sounds like tin clanking prison bars drenched in reverb and the other like hand drum rolls. A major section of the rhythm is dedicated to enforcing inexcusable actions while the drums open a sound of freedom. If not for the alarming Send It Up sample streamlined throughout Bullshit!, the song wouldn't carry a state of emergency essence that bangs and lets Angry Blackmen find cathartic moments in the vocals.

Off rip BS!'s first verse is all critique wrapped in metaphor with the staple confident promises that get you through day-to-day life. The verse survives with a gassed cadence flowing like a practiced speech, fully aware of an inner innocence not seen by the likes of The Police and the intestinal fortitude needed to navigate a world like that. The duo's protesting hook gives us the accountability we're hopeful for and fuels the second verse to fight back. That racing flow and mini story pulls Bullshit! into a place far too familiar that warrants the song's interlude/bridge section of scratchy call and response vocals.

If Angry Blackmen consciously sought to make a pressing cut that equally riles us up as we vent our frustrations, good. Then they did that. And we will all feel better after hearing it.

Listen to Bullshit! below.
