Take me out and resurrect me with feelings of nothing but insecurities if it will self-realize in the muzzy way artist Mcintosh's "insecure" sounds and expresses.

The Lil FeeFee and Shanuka-featured song finds some inspired intersection with A$AP Rocky's Purity through these ears and more importantly this heart. Insecure drags open with a finger strum guitar riff containing dusty, deserted melodic motifs that are still very rhythmic. The guitar can't help but become insecure's backdrop and Mcintosh's only companion.

Tosh's immature vocals come packed with groggy melody baggage in the chorus and an idealistic rap verse. Lil FeeFee's baby talking verse is dead-set on bottling up his love interest's insecurities, hoping they will vanish, something akin to fake milk in toy baby bottles. FeeFee and Mcintosh leave the song barren emotionally. Shanuka finds the last sliver of life and tries to hold onto it knowing the outcome. Her breathy vocal riffs and overall dour falsetto and harmonizing try to make the ugly sound pretty. As much as the vocals want you to see the damage, they do a damn good job of deflecting, which, quite often, is the way we treat our insecurities.
