Pennsylvania artist Choo Jackson has given us his overweening ambition for five projects now, revealing glimpses of the man but forever holding that flossy persona as a veil between what he genuinely goes through in his head and day-to-day life. But with the release of Jackson's T.E.A.L, the human behind the stage name gets venting and provides a tonic for anyone listening and feeling.

The six-track project sonically thrusts Choo as front man of an alternative rap/rock ensemble. Finding itself in the production hands of Bradley Atom, Christo and Jay Card, to name a few, the heavily sore melodic songs with minimal rapping peels away the hiding places so you can connect deeper with the music.

Track three, Got You In Mind, is plainly a diffident acoustic guitar riff and achooing snare that leans on Choo Jackson's drifting melody paired with longing lyrics that evoke something Akon-esque. The following song Jean-Michel is a rock slide into distortion where flannels meet Jesus pieces. A blanketed electric guitar riff and sparring synthetic drums and percussion bottle a slight rage to the rhythm, preempting mosh pit jumps. And the best part is it isn't even the full color of T.E.A.L.
