We stan a committed internet superstar who keeps it that way through all the distortion and distraction, a feeling manifested in Blake Saint David's latest art imitating his life, Fame.

The experimental song produced and performed by Blake is equal parts a promise as much as it is an example. His off-the-wall production of digitized chord, drum hybrid stutters, Taiko-like drums, emulsified bass and hollow percussion bring the mother f*ckin' ruckus of fame, no RZA. Blake's production shatters the environment until it glues everything back together by his gorgeous outro.

The symphonious outro chords rinse over the track like light waves. His minimal melodies in that moment are ascending and the background harmonies defrost any insecurity away. I love the outro. Fame's outro is the payoff moment departing from Blake Saint's familiar, forceful dirty south flow just out to make a loving statement. However, his earlier chipmunk bridge with Kintaro-like harmonies register like a ballad inside a larger song, giving you his strongest desires. Twinkling keys are invited over and his lyrics reach the crux of what the song is about. That section of the song is championed and it sinks in the fame that won't change this kid. Love is his driving force and that is right where Blake Saint David needs to be.
