A touchy-feely Choo Jackson is the best version of the increasingly rising artist. The newest release from Choo entitled Lost Years traces me back to the perfected emo cut All Alone, only Jackson's solitudinarian approach introduces a new maturity to going through the motions.

The TreeTime-produced song is like externally watching your empty vessel of a body sit during a party, removed from all activity. Tree's crestfallen piano loop is the sound of everything going wrong. Lost Years' murky bass, kicks and cuppy 808 percussion attempt to keep you motivated, and the same is said for Jackson's 'ayy' flow.

His 'ayy' flow interestingly numbs his materialistic lyrics and lonely hook. Chooie's introspective raps of empty relationships, cash being his only companion and the crux of his happiness being on stage drain him of so much, although he's gained even more.

Lost Years is Choo Jackson in his head and when it comes to his music, I believe that's the best place to be.
