Ymtk is sending the summer off quite proper with his first single off 9song.Wav, Confetti.

The usual vibes of island escapism is accelerated beyond the norm for the Bay Area artist. An untroubled, strummy guitar riff (performed by Derek Blythe) awakens Confetti and immediately strikes the shades with sunrays. A washing away of all worries courses through the music with that feeling joined by Ekzakt's quivering synth, rhythm boosted drums and percussion. The production's rhythm reveals an unshakable grind that is convincingly Ymtk's wheelhouse, an alley-oop with no defender.

Young Murph the Kidd's (Ymtk) vocals of celebratory perspiration are, to no surprise, rhythmically inclined and melody equalizing with the production. But the sound of his singing amplifies a new comfort through his lyrics. He puts fiery passion and cheap thrills on a pedestal because those are worthy moments, just as love is. But ultimately, and most importantly, Ymtk's knack for vibes through vocals makes Confetti's hit so embracing. This song runs eager to be heard through the radio. Who would I be to deprive any ears of that?
