Rexx Life Raj and Ymtk might've done something with their newest and brightest project, Emoji Goats EP.

The joint EP is bound to be a staple all #Summer17. Their six-track EP is strong Bay Area bops that blend them as singers with their frequent, rather staple producers swimmingly. Emoji Goats EP's leading single, What's Up (prod. by Drew Banga), is practically the production version of looking at a lit party in slow-motion. The drums have a bounce I would die to be a part of. Ymtk interpolates T-Pain's Can't Believe It and adds to the bunches of rhythm he brings to his melodies, along with playful wordplay in his verse. Rexx zips in more wordplay/metaphor nuggets as he can to buff up the inspirational climb he spits from. The track is my favorite, but it's not the best one. What's Up merely sets a perfect tone for the EP.

For six songs either Ian McKee, Ekzakt, Kyle Betty or Drew Banga are giving us clarion R&B-type production with genre/style fluid moments that are equal parts catchy and rhythmically adoptable. Rexx Life Raj and Ymtk bring out this shared and inclusive braggadocios height in each other. Emoji Goats EP raps/sings the praises of hard work and good times. Dance (ft. P-Lo), Help, Merlot (ft. Caleborate), Issue and Glow -- all are tracks with great hooks and dope verses. This is that wave. And I'd advise y'all to get on it.
