Low End Theory co-founder and resident DJ, DJ Nobody, sprung miscellaneous instrumentals from songs he's done under the title BEATS FOR KICKS yesterday. And it's been spinning ever since.

Drums is the name of the game for an uninterrupted 20-minutes, for side A and side B. Side A kicks a creep styling. There's plenty of down tempos, a real me and my headphones isolation sound when falling into the chunks of the rhythm residing in Nobody's pockets. Side A offers variations of lead-foot bass and jagged kicks. Side B is what you'll find me needle droppin' anytime Beats For Kicks is in rotation.

BFK's Side B reminds me of a line from Rick Ross' verse in Devil in a New Dress, "Spinning Teddy Pendergrass vinyl as my J burns." The B side walks a line closer to soul beats, at times Bill Withers-esque, but still sounding West Coast by way of East Coast hip-hop. I dig these beats heavy. DJ Nobody's drums are more rowdy, record static is prevalent in the fiber of my ear buds. Some of the drum breaks or vocal samples, like from the 10-minute mark and on, show their cards of sonic levity. The soul starts running deep with his samples, and it personally becomes fun to peek into what Nobody pulls on wax. Side B's beats speaks a slow burn. A neck snap can't be escaped, all thanks to home-run kicks (sometimes with ounces of reverb) or the general chiller tempo trend on the B-side. Regardless of your taste, DJ Nobody's instrumentals are gonna be taking up chunks of your listening time.

So get the needle ready.
