If a late night drive to your girl's house is in order, and along the way veering off to a penthouse party, strip club or escape to the studio crossed your mind, nearly influencing the turn of your wrist to go left at the fork in the road towards the vice instead of right -- MADEINTYO x 24HRS four-track EP 24hrs in Tokyo would score your dilemma.
24hrs in Tokyo is four bangers, each with different personalities. For instance, their introductory K SWISHA-produced track YSL BOOTS has RPG-sounding accordion keys underscoring wood knocking kicks and a clouded bass. MADEINTYO and 24HRS come with melodic verses, a catchy hook tailored to be picked up quickly. While on the other hand, a track like MY WORD (prod. by IZZIE) has syrupy 808s, more deeply impacted drums and watery strings all at a downtempo. MADEINTYO and 24HRS sing to loyalty and ambition. Their lyrics are sweeter and bonding. It's still a banger, but as far as a banger for an R&B-ish living song can be. It's my favorite track from the project. The song sounds like the right was taken towards your girl's house during this hypothetical drive I floated in the beginning. And that's only 50% of the EP.
Tracks like YOU hit the hardest, with the most flaunt aesthetic in their raps that apply to your girl (generally speaking). Their final track, TEAR IT DOWN -- I'll leave for y'all to discover on your own. Just know the sound is more foul.
24hrs in Tokyo is a hard hitter that's a quick ride. The production is overall frisky and the raps are melodic. MADEINTYO and 24HRS made some joints that will nest in your head. So prepare to be juggin' to these for a minute.
