If you sit on SoundCloud long enough you'll eventually stumble upon some very interesting music. You'll find some music that truly tests the point of genres. There will be music that makes you question the structure of sounds and ask why these sounds and noises work so well together. Or there will be music you like simply because it's weird. And I happily found a song where all of these qualities lie within it.

The song I'm referring to is Can You Feel It Too by Milky Wayv's own Bobby Earth.

Can You Feel It Too opens sounding like a jam session between Pikmin. There's a squeak-pitched whisked whistle that sounds like they're communicating with each other. Bobby Earth's drum pounding away has a grainy sound to it, almost like the sticks are actually beating against sand. The swash of Bobby's background strums and the popper effect of his squealing chord progression create a relaxing motion through its sonics. The oddball music and energy is relaxing. Then Bobby Earth's strange "in love" vocals start running with the tempo. His baseline grooves in with the funk and the song starts taking on a feel of a space-themed picnic, especially because of the line Bobby Earth starts to spit. His opening line "Let me feel up on your ass-teroid" is a funny play on words that reminds me of one of the three meanings from Childish Gambino's line "And I'm outta this world like tang nigga, that's a space bar, man, I hate y'all" in Worst Guys. Like Bino's bar, that is a space line, less prolific, but it is. And it straight sets the mood for the rest of the song.

The absolute personal highlight of Can You Feel It Too comes from the manner in which Bobby Earth closes this song out. His purely instrumental outro is tranquil and shows his artistry. His outro in sound reminds me of what John Mayer played in the production space on Frank Ocean's White (Album Version). Bobby Earth's send off strings sound tightly pressed to the fret. Played off ear, it sounds like open chord flatpicking. The strings go through a free dance and tone that I love beyond words. His guitar acts as if its performing its own serenade of sorts. This sound, topped with the yip noise and RPG-belonging crazily altered pipe organ keys drops his song off on such a high note. The instrumental says all that needs to be said about this romance the song focuses on.

Bobby Earth's Can You Feel It Too is a real cool song. I'm glad I found out about it and get to share it with all of you. Hopefully y'all like it as much as I do.
