RonnyJ Reaches Akuma Strength with His Fresh Joint "Level Up"

Someone better stop RonnyJ. He's become Akuma with the beats on his self-produced joint, Level Up -- with Akuma-esque cover art to boot.

I believe Level Up is RonnyJ's coldest solo effort to date. This joint brings an acidic level to the punchy drums in unison with the raw knock existing in its own pocket that is in constant battle with itself to burst through this pocket. It's a dope sound that is only synonymous to RonnyJ drums, but this time it's intensified and brings a level of rage to the track. Ronny's 808s is like a variation of kinetic energy: they're always in motion with stinging ticks accumulating massive amounts of energy, only to feed RonnyJ for his verses.

RonnyJ's verses and hook are catchy as sh*t. He utilizes the auto-tune in such a good way, it helps add to the machine-like work he claims he always puts in on Level Up. When RonnyJ raps and sings, he brings a level of boastful foreshadowing to his already strengthened demeanor. It was cool. RonnyJ's songs always sound good, and with the year RonnyJ's already having I'm not surprised we got a little flex joint from the producer/artist. I only hope there's a solo tape waiting for us somewhere down the line.

Check out Level Up below.
