God damn. What a flip. What a start to the week. I love getting these pop-up tracks from Bishop Nehru. And his latest joint Want You (prod. by Abnormal) samples King Kendrick's For Sale? from To Pimp A Butterfly and is damn good, with great use of the sample to boot. The song has great extra elements in the beat like rock your head drums and buzzy synths. You got Bishop flowin', lyrically laying out his excellence, bringing out the bestowed crown from MF DOOM and Nas that's made him rap royalty. And a cold Pam Grier reference that will make some of y'all do your googles. What else is there to say? When it trickles down, what else matters but the music? Just except something is good when it's good. And this is good. I think it takes a confident MC to spit over a Dot sample and eat on the song. And Bishy Bish does that.
I'm not gonna dilute the music here with too many words. Just check this joint out and appreciate a versatile rapper like Bishop Nehru. Enjoy.
