After still steaming and riding high off his ferocity awakening single Animal, Marko the Mad is ready to continue that streak of slaughtering with tracks -- releasing his second single, Like Us, off his forthcoming project GodHatesMarko through Back To the Elements.
Marko the Mad's self-produced banger takes on its own atmosphere. Immediately creating a thick air of suspense when playing it off ear through the beat's undeniable elements of orchestral sounding strings and a heavily pouncing bass drum. It gives this track the proper thriller jolt, sounding like the spirit of The Headless Horseman preying on Ichabod Crane (us listeners). Only to be accompanied by a series of 808s that boils over the attitude on Like Us, making an easy lob to Marko the Mad who I believe bodies his beat. Marko's auto-tuned charged verses and hook are mad catchy, underscoring the song's driving point in what I would say acts as the verbal catalyst in the natural selection of finding out who's real and who is a different breed of talent and workers, juxtaposed to the fakes and the Troy Averages. It's a real dope song. Like Us bangs from start to finish and makes it easy to flex your muscles when you know you've been on your grind. And I'm pleased to be premiering it here on my blog.
