Jahrahmf Takes Us to a Hellish Night With His Latest Track "Child Of The Night"

It looks like Nobodies' Jahrahmf is dropping off some new fire solo tracks as well. Just like his partner MTFR, he's hopping on a Jxk beat, but this time the production is a team effort between Jxk and Jah himself to give us the surprising track "Child Of The Night".

Jahrah's "Child Of The Night" surprises in the way that it sounds. Based off the title I can say I inadvertently conjured up 808 drops, crazy blaring drums and nightmarish synths in my head, which still would have made for a sweet sound. But Jah and Jxk took it in a different direction. They gave us a beat with a single creepy chord in a loop, possessed chimes and keys that reminded me of wind-up ballerina jewelry boxes which upped the creep factor tremendously. There were drums utilized just to give the beat some force, but the true magic lies in the unsafe feeling every other element in the beat creates. And of course there's Jahrahmf's verse. His voice throughout his verse sounds like he's rapping through an intercom that's dying which I feel assisted in making "Child Of The Night" an even more unsettling song due to the feeling of helplessness it creates and I really liked that. He spits from the perspective of the child of the night and I instantly thought of Toshio Saeki from the Ju-On series ("The Grudge") and Esther from "Orphan". He's a kid capable of so many devilish things and it's dope that Jah was able to embody that in his verse, it made the hellish atmosphere of the song stand out and that much more believable.

"Child Of The Night" is definitely a real cool song. It has me excited to find out what's next to come down the road. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be dope.
