Logic Drops Heavy New Single "Fade Away"

We just got our third (and I think final) single from Logic's forthcoming album "The Incredible True Story". The song entitled "Fade Away" is a lot more deep-rooted in thought than "Like Woah" and "Young Jesus" were. "Fade Away", although light in sound with the angelic vocals and easy-going drums, is heavily focused on the ideas and the importance of what one leaves behind when they die and what they'll be remembered for. Logic expresses that his name will be remembered in his verse because of what he's done for rap and the impact his music has had on people. And he does so in such a triumphant way. Logic's tone throughout this track is very hopeful and grateful, particularly in the hook and in his final verse where he isn't spittin' as rapid. He takes the time to really articulate the importance of getting out and doing something before the entire essence of who we are is gone and our lives are snuffed out. It's some heavy subject matter that is delivered in such a light way that only Logic can do. For lack of a better word, it's dope.

"Fade Away" is a good song. A very good song. I don't exactly know the song's importance in "The Incredible True Story", but I have an idea. Alas, the truth will be revealed to us come Nov. 13th. So we all will just have to be patient, wait and find out.

Listen to the song below.
