Loaf Muzik x Harry Fraud Deliver an Important Message on Their New Track "Camo Assassin"

Loaf Muzik is a NYC collective I found out about a few months ago and they're a nice breath of fresh air that I've been rockin' with ever since. The hip-hop collective dropped off a dope new song with underrated producer Harry Fraud today that needs to be heard.

The new track entitled "Camo Assassin" is a true song that bleeds hip-hop's original essence. The roughly three-minute track is straight up MC's rapping over a sick drum break and supplying a dire message through their own experiences. "Camo Assassin" doesn't shy away from young black men getting shot and arrested in their own area code for doing little to nothing. They touch on all the people stuck in the trap and hoping they can make it out. That entire trap lifestyle has been glorified through various artists' music today and Loaf Muzik really brings the reality of that not being a lifestyle you want to be a part of. Each verse does such a good job at staying within the conscious realm, venturing out at times to show that they still hail from New York and they aren't to be tested. It showed me that Loaf Muzik definitely can be versatile and equally as dope with their music, but this is their soapbox moment and they aren't gonna waste it. I thought it was great. I'm a stickler for substance, especially when it comes to hip-hop. Eighty percent of the time I like to get something out of what I listen to and walk away more aware to the things happening in the world I don't get to see, "Camo Assassin" does that. Not only can these guys flow, but the beats are nice and the message is nicer. Loaf Muzik is one group y'all need to check out.

Listen to "Camo Assassin" below.
