I've been listening to Raury for a while now. I find that you have to sit with his music and "Devil's Whisper" is just another reason why I feel this way.
The recently announced 2015 XXL Freshman with the awesome hat's new song "Devil's Whisper" is just what the world needs. Raury never sacrifices his message, audience or his views with new music. This song is still Raury being the positive, conscious, spiritual artist that he is. I love it! "Devil's Whisper" follows along the same lines as "God's Whisper" in a sense. The first verse is from the Devil's perspective, telling Raury all these things as if trying to tempt him. The Folk-inspired sound really adds to the song making it have a story feel to it.
After the hook it gets into the second verse. It's from Raury's perspective. He is telling the devil he knows that he could do these things but he won't. He knows what is in his heart, what he wants to make and what he wants to give to the people and the 47 lifestyle is the way. R.I.P Capital STEEZ. He knows what he can be and do. He won't stray from the path he is on due to temptation.
