The Atlanta artist "slowly growing, surely shining," Nicole Watson, lovingly vocalizes a personal journal approach to her latest song, Here With Me. And we without a doubt wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Here With Me unfolds in a mirroring way to Michael Kiwanuka's homestyle guitar riff on Home Again. That familiar textured finger plucking sound is present, but this riff festers the sonic atmosphere with isolation, with the same fire and desire to return to something that feels comfortable remaining. As simple as just a riff could be, Nicole Watson gives the track an unsettling temperature and heartache only vocals can provide.

Nicole's secretive vocals have a blowy tone through the harmonies and skittish melody during the verse(s) that beautifully wraps around the guitar riff, doubling down on the responsibility of the melody. Her diary-like lyrics are vulnerable, offering up her current feelings about what she seeks the most.

If this is just one entry, I'm dying to hear more. Nicole Watson's voice can tell a million emotions. Done right, the sad ones are usually the best.
